On a more positive note, i got Stevo,s mobile number via another forum. After giving him a ring, for some advice, about a first visit to fish the Severn. The man not only gave me and a pal the advice needed, he actually came and met us after he,d done a days graft. He then gave us a guided tour of the stretch we were on. For that, i am eternally grateful. A true gent. Good luck Steve. :)

wholeheartedly agree Derek - there are genuinely a few top blokes on here and steve is one - I (because of a young family and work commitments) don't get out as much as most but whenever i do Steve/they are only too pleased to offer advice on stretches and even pegs (although i never turn down the advice i do not seek the "big peg info" - I have never been interested in the big fish as I am happy just catching Barbs of any size).

i think the guys know i would not betray them or the info they share via PM - Steve is one of those guys who offered me advice about the Severn - even though he was unable to meet me - and no barbs materialised (due to very heavy thunderstorm and me arriving 3 hours too late due to traffic) but he even offered to leave me some feeders in his boat - (something i didn't need to accept) but well beyond the call of duty.

Top bloke Steve - sure you will do well keeping the calm in the asylum.
