Hello,just joined thanks for having me.Iv been fishing for 20 years but until this summer never fished a large river for coarse fish as there isn't meny of these up in the lake district.So Iv been on the Ribble 6 times had 4 barbel up to 9lb 2oz loads of silvers and chub up to 4.5lb,really enjoying it ,not sure if it's just been beginners luck tho!!
Anyway looking forward to learning lots from you guys on here.

Welcome to BFW. Good luck on the Ribble, bear in mind your also a couple of hours away from the Yorkshire rivers if you want a change. Plenty of helpful people on here that help with that.

Hi Gary,the ribble is all new to me, I'm a lake District piker mainly!any tips for the ribble?or is it a case off put the time in and try work it out?
