Hello to everybody from a new member.

Im a time served (as in old) all round specialist angler who also fly fishes here and in hot places.

Ive just returned to coarse fishing after a decade away. These days I’m fishing for fun and hoping for the odd decent fish along the way.

I have plenty to learn about barbel fishing………

Welcome Tim, there are quite a few " time served" members on this forum. It does disprove one well know adage, because with advice from others on this site, You can teach old dogs new tricks !

Welcome Tim :)

Hi Tim,

Your name rings a bell - were you involved in the Tenchfishers at one time or has the constant flow of grape juice finally addled my brain?

Welcome anyway...

Steve

Yes, of course, all coming back now.

I was involved with NASA in the 80s - amazing time, we thought we could change the world (this is before we grew up....)!

I also fished Ferris for a couple of seasons in the early 90s but by that stage summers were also the party season.....

Like you, these days I like to see a bit of action - long gone are the specimen hunting days of old although I like the chance of catching something half decent.

Welcome again and good to see you still fishing.

Best wishes, Steve
