New member going on an adventure to the river Severn.

OK Certainly have a look at Barton and Bidford, the former is a very user friendly stretch indeed, with good safe parking a level walk, a weir Chub Barbel etc. As Graham says big Chub all along the Avon.
And it would be closer to me. Only 1.5 hours.
Just looked at the map at Barton and Bidford. Does it get fished very much during the week.

No as far as I know, the times I fished there has been just me and the ducks 🙂 You might want to check out 'Setting out for Big Chub Warks Avon' you tube, that is a BAA fishery with parking behind in the clip. But it gives you a feel for the river. Also John Arthur's latest you tube offering for Chub on the W.A.
For me the Avon is the go to Chub venue, the Severn is more of a big feeder river which I love, but very different and yet very close to each other, unique.
I understand the Ouse is a big Chub river, so you are really a 'home from home' here.

The only thing I was worried about and something I would never do. Is fighting over swims.
I'm used to having the river to myself :)
And when roving don't want to be leapfrogging other anglers. :)
