New Lightweigh Umbrella

John, I bought my Daiwa Misson brolly from Judds of Hillingdon a few years back.

I tried many in the shops and this was definitely the lightest, however they are are a bit fragile and my pal's one disintergrated at the locking mechanism.
Best to check whether the current model is still the same, maybe more durable but heavier, thus I recommend you try out at a shop first.

Hi john, the daiwa's can be roped down but they do seem very fragile! Mines been inside out no end of times but to its credit it always goes back again!

Does it have a ring on the top to attatch guy ropes to peg it down either side?
 
Brother rates his Korum Fibreglass 50". Seems a lot lighter than any of my 50" brollies
