Just received an e-mail from the admin on maggotdrowners, he,s warning all members about a scam with the new license. Apparently theres a bogus site www.fishingrodlicenses.com issuing licenses at inflated prices. Just a warning to anyone new to fishing. Well bugger....it seems I just got had then

I always buy my licence online, so thinking the time was about right, I googled 'rod licence', got what I thought was an offocial site, cursed at yet another unreasonable price rise (as you do )....and paid £28 for a senior concession

The other problem being, I payed by card. Mind you, I had to set up a google account to do it....but then who knows if that is genuine Guess I had better look into that.

I did get my licence, it arrived today...and that looks genuine...but then, I thought the site did, so who am I to judge. I guess that they are genuine licenses, they just add a £10 surcharge on to the correct price to catch careless pillocks like me!!!!
