New Itchen record

I thought I saw a story somewhere that the Itchen record had been beaten with a 13lb+ fish, anyone else picked up on this, or am just imagining it:confused:

There was a posting on facebook. One guy questioned the weight of the fish..

Thanks Andy, thought that was where I saw it, looks like the post has been removed now, perhaps he re-chaecked his scales?

Difficult to tell the weight from a photo and any adverse comment from me would sound like sour grapes.. Didnt look 13.8 though!!

Itchen barbel of over thirteen pounds do exist, so a capture is not impossible.
