New Drennan Umbrellas if your interested?

I’ve just bought the Drennan Specialist Umbrella and it’s seems to be a good bit of kit.
Hi Neil I have had to sell my Fox Specialist brolly as due to spinal health issues the unusual mechanism that requires you to yank the collar to collapse ir-t was hurting my back
so I am now leaning to this Drennan you just bought can you tell me is it just a normal easy to erect and close push button ? or would you say it requires quite a bit of force ? as depending on how much tension the ribs are on some brollys they are easy some really stiff unfortunately I would have to buy mail order so cant see one first

Drennan use carbon ribs which if the Korum is anything to go by are under quite a lot of tension when pulled to radius.
I wouldn’t risk it Gerry it sounds like an expensive mistake. I’d wait till you can physically get into a shop to see one as I do believe that the springy steel ribs take less pressure to pull them over than the chunky carbon rods.

Thanks Richard
funny enough since this post I phoned my local Harefield Tackle this morning and they said they are waiting for a 50" to come in and when it does I will go and check it out

I’ve only set it up once in the garden and I don’t recall it requiring much force to do so 👍🏻
