New Drennan products

Like the look of the maggot hooks and grippers, not sure about the roving pouch!

Yep hooks look good. I always liked the original Drennan Barbel hook, although the straight hook point was prone to turning over occasionally.
In my opinion something changed with the Drennan Barbel Specialist hooks a few years after they launched - they looked exactly the same but the points seemed to turn over a lot more. It happens with straight points but ut definitely seemed to happen a lot with them.

Shame as I liked the odd sizes, the 11's were good for casters and maggots I found.

The XT Maggot hooks are simply an eyed version of the Acolyte Maggot Plus hooks.

I've been using Acolyte Super Spades, Acolyte Grippers, Acolyte Maggot Plus and Acolyte Silverfish for nearly as long as they've been available (Surprisingly, almost three years for some, less for the Super Spades). I'm rather happy with them and they cover pretty much all of my float fishing. The main advantage over the standard Drennan hooks is that they stay sharper for longer.

I've been using the acolyte margin carp for a while and so far like them, I think they're basically a barbless super spade.
They do seem to stay sharp a bit longer than others.

Not Drennan but one of those simple but useful little things from NuFish. Big eyed plummet for when using large hooks or banded rigs etc

Pouch looks useful to me as long as it goes over a shoulder - hate carrying stuff around waist. I could take all my trotting stuff plus bait in it easily.
