New club for next year, best options??

Chris Bourne

Senior Member
Currently a member of the white swans.
pro`s
Hardly see any other anglers on the bank
No contests at weekends
con`s
As waters are hardly fished theres very few pegs cut out
Not much bait going in so not many fish about!
The pools are either hard going or stuffed with so many fish it gets boring.
Have been in the BAA in the past and caught a lot more barbel on their waters, contests at weekends a bot of a pain though.
On the waiting list for kinver freeliners so one day maybe!
Any clubs out there with waters on the wye and the severn??

There is no 'maybe' about it Chris, you will eventually get into Kinver.
Its just a case of patient.
There are guys that got in this year that thought the call would never come, but it did......

How about a syndicate?
There are a couple on the Severn that might be worth it as a stop gap....

Might spend next year trying a few places out on day tickets, you then know what youre getting when you join up!
Did have a letter from the prince albert offering me a place, think their website is a bit out of date it says a waiting list of 2500 and only applied 18 months ago.
Deffinately not paying close on £100 again this year for membership of the swans. :)

Its worth the wait for the Freeliners Chris :D:D:D:D:D:D

Plenty of choice on the rivers with some brilliant stillwaters to boot. IMO, best club in the Midlands

Whats their rules on junior fishers as in age limits?I take my 14 year old son with me would he need to go on waiting list aswell??
Just incase he was too old by time I got accepted :)
