Tasty looking bit of kit. I have had a Samsung for a few years now, an NV10 which I still think is a decent little camera, very useful when combined with the cheap little remote I got of Ebay for just a few quid. I'd happily stick with Samsung and might have a look at one of these. On the other hand, the Sony ones that take the wide panoramic shot look good too.
I use a Canon S3 is (I think) which has a flip around screen but must admit that if I am night fishing, which is when my most memorable fish are generally caught, it isn't much use as I am not lit when posing and the flip screen is not backlit!! It is therefore necessary to set the frame first and then just do the self take without being able to see myself in the screen.........
Well spotted, Shippo. I like the look of that one. I love it when manufacturers come up with new ideas and that seem so obvious after the fact. With touch screen phone becoming so common, I'm surprised nobody's done a camera like that before but I'm sure it will become the standard, and putting a display on the front does seem much simpler than a fiddly and damagable flip screen. Although I'd miss being able to take 'covert' photos (ooh er) with the adjustable screen on my S5, and it's ideal for taking pics over the heads of crowds.
Just been looking at the spec. I can't find anything about the multiple shots on the timer. Not much use for self-takes of fish as the fish will always flap just as the camera is about to take. I usual set mine for 10 takes just in case. 9 out of 10 are pictures of me comically grimacing as I valiantly cling on to a flapping fish, the other 1 is a nice smiling pic of me successfully holding up a fish to the camera.
