Just wondering what aims acheievements you have set your self for the new season?
Regards

Had a pretty crappy last 18 months, so actually getting out and doing a few sessions will be fairly novel in itself. So, catching a half decent barbel or three would see me a very happy chappie....and I have every intention of doing exactly that. Roll on the start, I am feeling excited about fishing for the first time in quite a while :D

Cheers, Dave.

Getting my girlfriend into barbel fishing :) I've taken her to a carp puddle to give her the false impression it's a doddle. Think I may have some explaining to do when we get to the river. She seems excited enough about it though. I've sold the idea to her as 'luxurious camping at a scenic Royal Berkshire location' :p

A double from the upper and lower severn to complete the set.:)
And maybe one on the float. Any size!

Mines to catch my first double from my local stretch the B Avon but they are in decline, & to get to grips with my new centre pin

Just to chill out and enjoy the fishing.... simple as that. I might even have a better season than last fishing this way time will tell.

Umm mine would be to beat my PB Chub on the last day of the season to make it a hat trick end of season PBs as far as Chub go. Bring on a 7lb Wye Chub lol

To catch a nidd barbel on my cane rod and pin, any size will do. I'd also like a wharfe double but that might be asking a little much.

Just to enjoy my time out on the bank as per usual...

to get out the house and away from all that may trouble you for a few hours, catch or not.

I don't think il have a better season than the last having done 3 pbs (barbel, chub, perch) last year and catching 130 barbel in a season was an amazing first year targeting barbel properly, but realistically my pb barbel should get beat this season (hopefully :)) and hopefulabutment elusive Zander later on in the year :) but just to be on the bank enjoying the peace and tranquility will be the main pleasure in the new season

Another happy season, good time with mates, new trips to the Wye, more hours on the Kennet, learning something new, enjoying the fish and fishing, tight lines all.
