neoprene thigh waders

Any recommendations please, looking online Snowbee looks ok, not sure about the Daiwas they seem a bit cheap ? Last pair were from LC waders but they don't make them anymore. tried mending with aquasure but they are too far gone. thanks.
 
I've had 3 pairs of Diawas Cliff. The neoprene itself has been fine, but the sole split after 12 months on my first pair. Thankfully they replaced it, but the sole split on that pair after 18 months too (in the same place, between treads on the heel). Got a new pair now so I'll see how they go.
 
If you can actually find anyone that stocks them, and they also happen to sell them at a sensible price, then Le Chameau waders have a lot going for them.

Shame, they're great for winter fishing, you can sit in puddles/ easily return fish and everything. They're perfect for size 9 feet too.
Otherwise it would be a good idea to contact Diver Dave, he now sells refurbished/new waders.
I'll find a link and put it up.
Got to point out that thigh waders are not as popular as they used to be and neoprenes even more so since breathables became available.

Strange to say but that was never a problem, the insulation they provided was phenomenal. The only downside was the perspiration being trapped. Eating some garlic sausage one day resulted in that pair stinking of garlic for ever.
 
Thanks Paul, spoke to Dave a few months ago and we agreed repair costs plus postage costs made it not worthwhile. Didn't know he sold refurbished ones tho.
 
A quick update in case anyone else is interested..... Diver Dave is getting me a new pair from DAM, he will test them and seam them and post to me all for 55quid, top man.

Think I might get in touch with Dave to see if he would take the neoprenes and boots off me in a deal to get a pair of breathables.
 
I've had a pair of breathables repaired twice by Diver Dave and not been satisfied either time. The repair costs combined with 2 postage costs are a bit steep as well.
Before last winter I bought a Vass winter weight jacket and bib and brace trousers, these have worn well over the winter pike fishing in my boat and not let any rain in at all. I'm considering a pair of their waders to replace my breathables, these are easily repaired by myself if holed and their prices aren't silly.
