need camera for fishing

Have a look at the Pentax range, they offer many advantages over other RLR's in that they are weatherproof, and can be used in the wet, just pick the right lens and you'll be away.
You can get very good condition 2nd hand ones very reasonably if you shop around.
I have a Pentax K5 with a 18-55mm zoom lens sitting around doing nothing at the moment as I have upgraded, if you are interested drop me a PM

You would need a remote but they are wireless, weatherproof and not too expensive.

I've got a canon powers shot A80 knocking about somewhere with memory stick and view finder you can see yourself for self takes , ideal for a starter camera for fishing. You can have foe £20 + p/p
 
Or a smart phone using whistle cam app so simple to use great for self takes.
