Multipurpose line recommendations

Hi,

I'm planning on fishing locally with my boy next week for bits and bobs and need to buy some 3lb line that we can use for both ledgering and float fishing.

Does anyone have any recommendations please?

Drennan supplex is what i use on both float and tip rod. Been brilliant for me from 2lb upto 6lb for chub.

hi Andy, years ago I always used to only buy expensive line and replace the line every year, but now use daiwa sensore and never had any problems with it and never got broken of by a fish and its cheep.

Another vote for Diawa, very good knot strength.

I didn't get on with Sensor, I found it twisted up badly. I used the Korda carp line, the cheapest one they do and found that ok. I've just bought some GR60 to try on my new reels, be interesting to see how I get on with that.

Drennan floatfish/Bayer or Maxima in 3lb for me for general fishing.
