Hi all,

Very cheeky of me to be posting this here, as it's nothing to do with fishing or barbel!

Claire 'Mrs BFW' Frances will be doing an Ironman race in Wimbleball, Devon in a few weeks time. She'll be swimming 1.2 miles in Wimbleball lake (a good trout fishery apparently), cycling 56 miles and then running a half marathon all back to back.

Claire is raising money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance and has a Just Giving page here:

I understand that the chosen charity may not appeal to all though we've seen it in action very recently and very close to home. We'd be enormously grateful to anyone who feels they might like to sponsor Claire in her challenge.

Sue could do the swim no problem , and I have done that ride on the London to Brighton , but neither of us could do that run :D , let alone one after each other !, so a donation from us. Have a good day Claire .

cmon guys and gals support the wonderful unselfish volounteering of Claire to
put herself through the torture and pain that entering this sort of competition brings and all in order to help the cause:)

Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone who has donated. Claire is so grateful to all BFW members who have given their hard earn cash, especially as it's a very 'local' charity.

there aint many that would take on unselfishly this physically/mentally draining ordeal for charity and i deeply admire the dedication:):):)
