MONO line that doesn't turn into a spring??

Could anybody recommend a mono line that doesn't turn into a long spring???.
ALL i ask is a line that doesn't coil up?.
I use braid and fluoro hook length but worried that if the main line in not flat on the river bed it will spook the fish? or line bites?.
This season ive used these lines gardener hydro flo which wasn't good! and big game which is ok.... but you strip acouple of meters off everytime to get rid of the springy bit.

Or is it just one of them things? it all coils up??

Could anybody help???

cheers jamie

Yep, all mono,s will coil up, when it gets too bad, just change it, unlike braid ,it has memory.
Too help it sit properly on the spool, chuck the spool in HOT water, leave it for 15minutes, then load it onto your reel spool, leaving the spool in the water as you load up, best done outside as it sprays everywhere. This makes the line softer and easy to handle, and seems to stop some of the coiling!
try it,
peter

the spring is memory, i found hydroflo better than others, gr60 coils a bit.

Jamie, I gave hydro flo a go after it was highly recommended by a friend, but I thought it was hopeless.

Are you sure that you are not putting twist in your line by pulling it off with the bail arm closed, by the baitrunner or clutch?
If so, than a gardner spin doctor may help.

Never had a problem with Big Game

what colour hydroflo?
i've been using green and it's perfect.

Cheers fellas!
I never thought using the baitrunner would put twist into the line!!
I watched the gardner dvd it said about soaking it in water and how to stopping the twist and that seemed to work with the big game. But after every last session i would have to strip alot of line off! maybe its using a baitrunner????

Shimano Technium, its like a cross between braid and line. Doesn't coil and has superb abrasion resistance, hardly ever have to strip any off.
I think its colour puts a lot of people off, as its dark grey/black, but it doesn't reflect light anywhere near as much as clear lines.

Switched to big game this season on advice of the guys of this site - superb line, wouldnt use anything else.

Not used the camo one, don't know if it'll make any difference tbh.
And no, 10lb is not under gunned, this stuff is super strong.
