Mitten Crabs.

I understand that this invasive pest can be a real problem in parts of the Trent I have dealt with Signal Crayfish but not Mitten Crabs any pointers as to deal with them?.

They migrate up and down the river. With the Trent being very low, the crabs ride the spring tides up and downstream. They also. Migrate to breed back to the estuary?. You will know pretty quick if you have them in your peg as any soft baits, spam etc, will be muched in minutes, little taps on the rod end, with baits being bitten off being the end result. Conversely you may be lucky and they have moved....
