My view is that Andy owns the site, he can do what he wants, as can the Mods through delegated responsibility.

I have seen the odd blog that's positively vitriolic to all and sundry, that's their choice as well.

Seems like he has already given an answer previously anyway to those that asked privately.

I wouldn't want anyone coming into my business and telling me what I can and can't do.

Graham i agree with your veiws entirely apart from the business bit Andy still working at his day job aint he,
we were all invited here providing we stick to the rules, these rules aint exactly stiff ones or stifling the threads, hey its early days still,

A message to everyone.

The actions the BFW Team take are always in the sole interests of the site. If anything risks compromising the site, it’ll be dealt with. Simple as that. We’re not answerable to anyone and certainly don’t need to explain the actions we take, just as the members/viewers aren’t obliged to continue contributing or viewing. If the quality of the moderating doesn’t suit, there’s a very straightforward answer.
