Stranger and stranger Albert and John. A close fishing friend of mine is a gentleman named John Walker. He is an officer in the Royal Navy, and does some clever stuff he can't discuss in many countries around the world, week in, week out. However, despite all that he and his family manage some real quality time together, including some very successful fishing trips with his two delightful young lads

Cheers, Dave.

Johnnie Walker was very popular when I first went to sea, alongside Captain Morgan and Gordon's. Largely retired now due to D & A policies.

you must be a youngun gavin lol, it was woods rum when i was at sea mate, nobody on deck drank anything else heheheh

Being a regular runner to the port of origin in the early eighties, Mount Gay and Cockspur were the two brands that I was brought up on. Both brands available in British supermarkets for a few years now, though not quite as enjoyable drunk at home or British pub as it was in a raucous messroom in warmer climes!
