I see Martin Bowler has a new book out through Calm Productions, A Fish For All Seasons.

"It's been illustrated and the drawings produced for Martins book “A Fish for all Seasons” are now for sale. These works of art drawn by top artist and angler Gareth Fareham are available to buy from this site only."

Picture 15 "Otter Eating a Barbel"

Oh really ? well thats kind of contradicted by Graham Scholey, he told me recently that an Otter is such an efficient predator that its more than capable of surviving no matter how poor its river environment is ! In fact there are very few if any rivers in the UK that aren't capable of sustaining Otter populations.

Yeah but didn't Graham Scholey also make the same comments as Richard Benyon regards our great riverine environments.
I quote from official EA press releases. "The otters are a key indicator of a waterways health status."
Unquote, there was me thinking river key indicator species were barbel, trout, grayling and salmon, now I'm confused?????????????:confused::confused::confused:????????:confused::confused:
