Mark Tunley specialist rods

I have a few of marks rod and one that stands out is his specialist float 1lb 12 foot I have no 1 of it so took a chance and habe not looked back. Don’t get me wrong skimmers won’t set it alight but still fun. Had bags of roach this winter on it and tamed a 6lb pike whilst the roach was being reeled in ! It’s an awesome float rod I recommend it as general all round specialist float It will do chub and perch with power but not over gunned. That one you have linked is a fairly powerful rod when I spoke to mark it didn’t suit my application so went for an original Avon spliced tip for chub and the likes. I would imagine long distance bream and maybe tench the 11.5 would make a nice rod.

I’m eying up his 13.6 specialist float or maybe the free sprit new float rods when the queues for them calm down for my tench and barbel fishing, saying that if I picked up a tench on my 12ft 1lb I wouldn’t be panicking.

He makes lovely rods I grant him that, I also have nick buss build my carp rods and some of my chimeras. I tend to use mark for his own creations and nick for creations all ready out there he’s done all my chimeras and carp rods ands a lovely bloke like mark is, gone of subject but that’s the walk through of some of the bits I own 🙂

You can have a pull on my hi s power float when you come round Dan. I’ve got the 15footer. It’s a beautiful rod, very light and balanced for it’s awesome power.
