I think a storm really heightens your senses when you're out fishing, and if I hadn't been out a lot recently, i'd definitely be out there. Mind you I do wear an electric waistcoat when it's cold, so can't seriously call myself a real man !

Hurricane Charlie flattened 15 million trees back in '87 so if you are brave enough to go out don't be stupid enough to sit under one! :p
 
I'm going out on the Tidal Trent and swim I fancy is surrounded by trees and bushes so this could be one of my last posts :)
 
Iv had fish combined with heavy rain and gale force winds ;)
 
Desperate to get my first barbel from the dove but no fish is worth risking your life for.
It only takes one tree or branch guys
 
I personal think its the met office driving everyone to sheer hysteria. How many people does the BBC need to employ to tell us the weather? There must be over 30 at least.

Neither Dave, i didn't get the gear out of the car ! i did however go and rescue the late Alan Wilson and all his gear that had been obliterated and strewn all over the back of the dam wall ! He told me i was bloody mad turning up in that weather, thats probably true but it wasn't me that sat in a bivvy all that night on top of a dam wall now was it :D Bless im!
