Lightweight rods( not test curve )

I'm after a rod to hold all day, I've had plenty of barbel rods over the years but as my fishing has been primarily static weight wasn't an issue as they have been on sticks or on a pod
I've just found a few methods that are really producing results with moving baits but the rod I'm using is too heavy to hold for long periods of time.

So test curve of 1.5 upwards, old or new it doesn't matter I'm looking for a rod that you thought wow that's light for a barbel/ specimen rod length 11-12ft

For info most rods tend to be about 250-330gms so I'm looking at as near to or less 200gms

Does such a tool exist?

More info I'm using free spirits now and a drennan as my roving rod but in the past have had Daiwas, Shimanos,Chub,Fox,harrison amongst others

Not cheap, but the free spirit hi s specialist su would easily fit the bill..you could hold it all week and not notice!

The 11ft 1.75 torrix I own is incredibly light matched with a 4000 size reel

Fittings could have a significant contribution to the weight - for example a stainless steel button can add 20 to 25g. Choice of reel seat and other bits used for the construction - handle material, full, abbreviated, guides etc etc can be chosen to minimise overall weight. The ease/comfort of use will also depend on rod balance and the reel used.
Example my 12' 1.5 Torrix has hardwood fittings, Fuji K series and still comes in at 240g.
In short yes - you can customise a rod build to trim the weight.

I think some of the older Normark blanks were known for being very light - I`m not up to date enough on current blanks to comment on them.
