Lidle tackle sale ,

Went to my local Lidle's this morning and bought the chest waders and the landing net .Cant complain at the price . The landing net is a tad on the heavy side .Breaks down to a handy size if you are roving . My advice for the waders is try them on first

Went to my local Lidle's this morning and bought the 'Trout & Perch Angling Set (144 Piece)' & the 'Spinner Lure Box (50 Piece)' as a gift for my nephew...looks like just about everybody in his family thought the same, so he does not want mine. So I've removed the cellophane to have a look but the stuff is no good to me. I've put it up in the fishing classifieds for the same price as purchased with free postage.

Cheers

Adie

Got myself a new pair of waders this morning after getting a soaking right foot when out fluff-chucking yesterday. Similar quality to my old ones that I've had four seasons out of and paid a lot more for.

I'm a size 8 and the 8/9 fitted me fine even with a thick pair of socks.

Bought 4 of the Free Spool 3000 reels... :)

Test 'em out on Friday then will sell the 410(a)'s on eBay... :)

Also purchased the reels, a pair of the 4000 size baitrunner type reels, which I'll spool with lighter line for roach, chub and perch fishing. I think as an ocassional use reel they'll be fine but I wouldn't want to rely on them week in week out for barbel, I'll stick to my shimano's.

They certainly don't look too cheap and nasty and after a bit of lube they feel ok.

The waders look good for £14.99 and I've bought a pair of those for my carp fishing on a weedy pit.

Duncan.

I've bought a couple of packs of glow sticks, should see me through the year, I've bought them from ebay before and about half of them have failed.......They do have a shelf life and I think the ones I bought were old stock.

I saw them and thought they had a bit of quality about them for the money, I will stick with Shimano but seem a bargain....although you can pick up Okuma baitrunners for similar money now.
