landing net handle

Hi Colin,
Hope you didn't take my last post serious, seeing that my PB is only 8lb 5oz :D although i think the water you fish should be took into account when looking at lb & ozs. Don't think you'll see a 15:08 from me.:)

These Drennans are pretty good, even I've got one, its the only bit of kit I have made in this century. Unfortunately, at least on the one I have got, Drennan decided to paint SUPER SPECIALIST all along part of the handle in bright paint that looks like the logo from a 1980's Heavy Metal band. All attempts to ignore this awful sight when bankside failed and I resorted to taping the handle up with gaffa tape, so my handle now looks like a dossers walking stick.
Still it does seem to work and is great on high banks. If I every catch a big enough fish to really test it I am pretty sure it will cope and it is certainly useful as a third leg when stumbling along the steep banks of the Teme wearing inappropriate foot wear.

Bloody tackle tarts!

I must admit to being totally ashamed of myself for possessing such a modern bit of kit, just couldn't resist the lure of the carbon. I even had to go further into my local tackle shop than I have been for many a year to get it. Forcing me to glance appreciatively at all sorts of nice shiny stuff that could no doubt improve everything about my life (except my relationship with the missus if she got to see the credit card statement).
Next season you may find me camped out overnight asleep on my sun lounger with three matching "Beastmasters" , a portable wide screen HD television machine cheering on Manchester United with a can of extra strength larger. Feel free to push me in if this happens.
