Korum roving Kit

Hi
I'm thinking about getting a korum roving Kit and was wondering if any forum members have one and what is their experience and opinion?

I still use the chair and bag and I'm happy with them. But the skeleton holdall was a pain and ended up on ebay.
I can get in enough tangles without having to untangle the item that carries the rods etc. Lol
I either carry my rods seperatley or use the Drennan Super Specialist double rod sleeve that has a pocket for my net handle and banksticks, and a pocket that my net will go into.

The chair is nice and light, and is handy that it straps to the bag to carry it

I have just started using one and I am impressed so far. As above, dump the rod sling, complete waste of time. The chair is light and and can be adjusted to get a bit of height of the ground. The bag is big enough to get all you would need for a roving session, I get a large flask, sarny box , tackle and bait in with ease.
One note about the chair, okay for a longish day but would not want to do a night on one or try and a have a midday snooze, the back is quite low and would get to your back in the end.

The ruckbag (not the XL) and old-version lightweight chair might be a good option as it's easy to carry and doesn't need to be full of tackle (if you want to travel light). I've been using one for about four seasons and they're both still going strong.

I looked long and hard at this set up but it just didn't seem to be the answer for me. I eventually settled on the Daiwa infinity 50litre rucksack which is based on a proper hiking bag and is incredibly comfy for long walks. It is nice and big which doesn't mean I have to fill it but is handy for throwing in an extra pullover or waterproofs.
It has nice long straps which behind I can clip my Rod Hutchinson guest chair, which is comfy and lightweight, and unhooking mat.

By far the best set up I've owned so far!

I think almost any rucksack can be adapted to carry a chair strapped to it, I have had mine a fair few years with no probs at all, in fact I made it long before any "Ruckbag"was "invented "
The old saying that necessity is the mother of invention still holds very true.

Dave.
