Korum new products

Not for me as you have to unscrew the cup off then unscrew the lid off to pour a drink and let all the cold air in.
Nice art work though.

I was really unimpressed with the “new” Korum products this time round, as what I’ve seen seemed simply to be slightly modified versions of existing products. The Fast Mat, for example, looks exactly like my old one with slightly thicker padding in the mat. The Graphite brolly and shelters are in slightly different material but otherwise identical to the old ones as far as I can see.
I’d like the art work on the flask on my Thermos King, but I agree, their flask looked hopeless as a flask.

Me too 👍

I wish I could have the chance to redesign that roving kit. I know it would sell well if I got my hands on that design.

The concept is brilliant

The execution in every single release has been a total train wreck

Firstly……. The bag chair Carry system. Totally crap if your anything of a sizable guy like me.
They’ve used it for years but imo it fails on both the length of the straps and the awkwardness of the way it fits together.

They had this almost right when they put the carry straps on the chair of the mk1 version. All they needed to do was develop the bag to fit to the chair via 2 push in clips
I’ve never seen a good quick chair/bag carry system that works with quick clips and just snaps together in seconds….. why?? That would be so easy to do and so convenient to carry.

The chair is always the item that is a pain to carry. It’s got to be the item that is fitted with back pack straps and goes on your back. And the bag then clips to the chair. You could then offer several types of bag to suit different anglers preferences but all with one thing in common …. Push fit clips to fit to the chair.

The other thing with this kit is the chair itself.
Just 4 inch of leg adjustment and tiny tiny mud feet. Way too low and useless on slopes which is where this rover kit is going to be used.
They should use the s23 compact chair design in the rover kit but fit it with back pack straps. This is the best lightweight chair they have bought out in years. It just needs a good carry system and the integration with the bag …. Job done!

The bag is great. Love the ruck bags but like I say why not do the roving kit with the option to use all the small/medium bags. All they would need to do is add the clips to their range of bags from folding sacks to ruck bags to cool bags etc so that any one of them can be fitted to the roving chair or sold separately. Now that would be a bloody spot on carry system to suit anyone and it would be incredibly easy to do.

The rod holdall .. oh dear me.., I can’t see why they haven’t done the obvious with this.

What use is a 2 rod sleeve. Seriously???
While roving might only require 1 rod and a net to some, it might also require 2 rods a net and a brolly to others.

The sleeve is not where I’d go personally. I’d just offer a little 2 rod quiver. I would keep it as small and compact as possible but big enough to take 2 rods, brolly and a net.
Drennan specialist did a 2 rod quiver once that would have been absolutely perfect for a roving kit. It was lovely and compact and lightweight but it was practical and took what you wanted to carry.

Imagine a roving kit like that…,,! One that actually works properly. I’ll be honest if it did exist I don’t think I’d use anything else for my short barbel sessions and what I currently use now is fairly close but could still be better.
