Korum Glide Landing Net - Question

Mike Window

Senior Member & Supporter
This may make me appear really stupid but on a whim I purchased the above landing net for when I go wading/ trotting. In the blurb it mentions an integrated magnet in the handle
Where is it and what is it for?

Think it’ll be in the end of the handle to attach a lanyard to stop it floating away if dropped?

I would be wary about using such a short handled net when using a long (e.g. 15ft) float rod. The angle from the rod tip to the net looks like a recipe for breakages.

As I said I bought it on a whim as I will be on the Wye for a few days soon and hopefully will be wading out and trotting. Unlike my local rivers the Hampshire Avon and Dorset Stour and the Test where all my trotting is from the bank.
Will be using a 14' Acolyte Specimen with a pin and possibly a 15' Hardy Marksman specialist with a fixed spool so I will soon discover if the short net is any good.
Thanks Nigel just checked and therethere is definitely a magnet in the end.
