Kings Weir

New Member
Hi, I'm new to the forum so go easy on me! Just thought i would ask for some advice on Kings Weir as I'm fishing it in the next few weeks. The baliff allocated me swim 3, is there anything specific i should be doing or will normal tactics suffice?

Also i understand the barbel are few and far inbetween here, are there any day ticket stretches that will be more proflific on the upper lea maybe?

I did try and find a kings weir thread but couldnt find one, sorry if there already is one!

thanks for any help

2 rods fishing the weir...

The swims that are on the same side as her house are good swims

Why can't you book either of the No1 swims or the No2 swim on the far bank ?

Because there's the only swim's I would fish if I was going to fish the Weir.

Hi George

There are stretches on the Lea that are much more prolific than Kings Weir/ Fishers Green. Club, Day ticket and free. It involves a lot of foot work to find them

If you join the Barbel Society then you can fish the lower section free of charge. Just show your BS membership card.

thanks i'll get that looked into, i don't mind a bit of walking to be honest. Is there anyway you could point me in the right direction colin? not asking for any secrets, just dont really know the course of the river

thanks fellas
