Keeping hooks to nylon tidy

Don`t use them a lot but have actually managed to tie some up for maggots & trotting, hopefully soon! I know I can`t cope with tying on the bank with cold fingers even using a tyer - just about manage in the kitchen with one of those light/magnifier things to help. Is there a neat solution to keeping the hooklengths tidy? The little paper packets are useless for me, ziplock bags worse. I`m thinking of something along the lines of a pike trace tidy roll/tub/rig bin. I usually don`t use a loop & tie on with a water knot.
Maybe a pole anglers winder?
Any ideas welcome!

Try a small piece of card which you slot top and bottom and keep that in a plastic bag or even better a matchmans hook wallet.
I have used this method for years and have never had a tangle.

Try the Guru eva spools for about £12, you get a box and 10 or so spools with pins I find them great for keeping hooklengths on and like a pike rig bin they dont kink either.

i bit of plumbers sponge pipe insulation costs very little, and a small bit of drain pipe with a cap on each end will hold loads of hooks to nylon ect

Deja vous here.

I have always used proper wine corks to wind and secure mine on. Safe and secure, with added pleasure of enjoying the wine.

I find good Spanish wines generally have real cork stops. ;)

many moons ago , the AT gave away some daiwa gizmos , cant remember the name , but they are a round thin spool that interlock with the others

i still have them and use them

just realised this post is of no use what so ever :D:rolleyes::eek:

I still have some of those spools that interlock in different colours. I use them for finer hooklinks or diawa (boss i think) winders. For thicker and longer hooklinks i use a korum maxi rig board.
