Hi All,

Just wondering if any of you guys on on JB gear? i see that he has a new range of boilies/base mixes/ plus flavours for barbel...Think its called Taste 4?

Hiya Dave, hope alls well with you matey..

Yes the Bio Shellfish Quality base mix, would probably do a job now:) Wondered what this new taste 4 gear is like?

Taste

HI John,
Can only speak from my experience/comparison/mini trial(not a well designed clinical scientific study), but using pellets/shelf life boilies-9 sessions 1 barbel, then using Taste 11 sessions 9 Barbel. In a proper trial (if you were getting very objective/scientific) you would have another person using Taste then switching to pellets/boilies (but we are not in a trial!).All of these sessions are on the same stretch, same pegs. Lots of other factors come into play, but the major part of the puzzle has been the bait. Used the bait making service (chip in with a few mates), and have 100% confidence in the bait, and had a session on the Severn and had 2 fish in a 2 hour session. Also worth ringing the number on the website-if you tell John what you are looking for/where you are fishing etc he can give you some tips, he knows his stuff.

Hope this helps
DT

Hi David,

Thank you for that info, sounds good and worth further investigation. I suppose there are a few different flavour/ attractor combinations that would go with this bait? I will check out the website further:)
