Yet another vote for snugpak softie Jacket, I have been using mine for 10 years and put an ex army gortex over it when raining. Fantastic bit of kit, I cannot praise it high enough.

Im a Huge Snugpak fan I wear a Snugpak Sleeka original jacket with Flectarn Army gortex over the top
and if it REALLY gets cold I also have a Snugpak Venture pile shirt these are amazing the very important thing with these is to get a close fitting one with nothing underneath as they should be worn next to your skin warmest thing you will ever put on
then Snugpak jacket on top I went fishing in France a few years ago with the north east wind chill it was minus 16 in fact the lake started freezing in the margins we sat out a group of 3 drinking wine and eating these lovey steaks we bought down the local shops only to find out a few days later that chevaline was in fact horse meat but we had no idea in those days it was really nice though and duck sausages (Canard) are the only sausages worth buying in France IMO
I also have a Pro Logic Thermo suit that I also use
