Insight barbel rods 2lb tc

Hi Steve,
I think they are based on a Harrison blank even though they are brown in colour.
Guy Rob still uses his and he is the most unforgiving angler on his tackle. He was lobbing a 5oz feeder into the wye with it last week.
Stuart Morgan still uses his as well i think!
Paul.

Stuart uses the BFW ipower, and has for a couple of years :)

The Insight rod is built on a good blank but it's pricey for a factory rod.

Cheers,

Andy

I seem to remember that there's some connection with Leslies of Luton and Insight. Is that right or am I just imagining that?

Damian

Well, I am not sure if they are factory built, it doesn't say anything to say otherwise and I'd presume with no 'options' they are, but if they are they seem really quite expensive.
£500 for a multi-tip? I'd hope it was bloody good!

Damian

They were built at the Harrison factory during the days when I was talking to Steve Harrison a lot, as were the very first few BFW ipowers, before Bob took over building them.

The action of the Insight rod is very nice, and similar to the BFW ipower.

2lb? Are they for fishing the tidal Danube?
I do my barbel fishing with a stepped up float rod that has a modified butt section and will wager that for fishing rivers about 25yds wide, it's the best there is.
I know I only fish the Avon and Kennet but is there really a need for such stout stuff?
