What made you think of that, Mark?

Anglers like Martin have their trips planned months in advance and have friends to guide them (where and when necessary) to maximise the chance of success on the trip.

Even then, it doesn't always work out though. :D

Me, guided? Never in the past but wouldnt rule it out if I was fishing a new river or learning a new method.

Personally the Trent but not saying where. Reckon I'd have more than a 50-50 chance. Second choice, Warwickshire Avon
 
Just curious as to what other peoples thoughts were Simon - it was a subject that was raised amongst a few of us after the go fishing show. I am not angling for hints on river spots or swims - merely peoples opinions! If i was going to take the opinion of everybody who has posted on this thread, i would be all over the country! :)

What is a reoccuring theme on this thread is how most rivers are having a downturn in fortunes when it comes to "doubles"
