Low has been great for me on my few trips to the Wye this year.
For my local Chubbing falling with a bit of colour seems best.

Rising with colour. Although the colour seems to fall out pretty quickly.

But. I'm lucky enough to have fished the upper Trent when the power stations were still pumping warm water in to it. Rugeley, Drakelow, Willington, Castle Donnington. I'd have to say those days were my favourite times and conditions. Long gone, and never to return, but they were good conditions.
