How can the Barbel Society help?

Actually Howard, millions appreciate it. And those that don't experience this great work every time they go fishing.

There is of course no competition. You simply can't compare the BS with its small membership to these great clubs.

The BS propaganda machine is grinding to a halt Howard. No one is listening as the tiny BS ship leans to the stern and is sinking fast. Soon only a few bubbles will remain on an otherwise calm surface as in the distance the super fast train with angling on board travels towards new angling adventures.

But Lee, you are the only person making a comparison it seems to me, drawing distinctions and seemingly preoccupied with predicting the demise of the BS. Why is that then? If it's so small and so insignificant why waste your time writing all that you have? Just what is the preoccupation with being bigger, better, faster? And let's see how long it takes for the FB pages to get into a terrible mess with bad behaviour, folk being banned, highly offensive posting and digital warfare. These will be the leaves that interrupt the otherwise speedy progress of your super fast train.

Thanks for that. Interesting brief read. I'll keep it short for now as the f1 is on. 100 years summed up in a few paragraphs. With multiple clubs. On the Trent. .....it's good....but it's not great. :D still failing to see the magic regarding our beloved barbel.
Based on that, the whole 'BS is nothing in comparison' debate is pretty void from where I'm sitting :D Again, angling clubs, FB fishing forums and the barbel society, different cups of tea, Lee. All for different purpose.
Top work by all though. Keep it up......are we really comparing Facebook 'likes'? Christ, what has it come to! I'll get round to a more constructive reply after the racing Lee. Plus BBQ, beers and friends come first. Sorry mate. I've been long enough on the bog, people will wonder what I'm up to :)
 
You cant tell em Lee, just wait a few years until they have all left disenchanted and the next batch of gullible souls have been pushed forward,.... then they will know.

Let me just add that's all in jest, Lee. Hence the overdose of smiley faces. I applaud the work you've mentioned. Written text can be a funny thing and these threads can get a bit iffy.
Tony, not sure that warrants a response. That whole issue, from what I now hear, has many false sides and fabrications and people have picked up on it. The core of it, is what it is, the rest of it is rubbish and desperation. The actions that followed are completely disgusting. Not for this forum and let's not drown it out with dribble. That really is picking stuff out of thin air. This forum gets enough stick, let's not lower the tone shall we.

There isn't a thread really,......... Pope says contact him if you want help, no one has come up with anything! Some of us say "why"? its only the BS, there are certainly better avenues than Steve Pope to go down. Or is it all just propaganda as Lee asked? Folks have been banned from BFW for using it for BS propaganda in the past. Boney and Framps spring to mind.
