Hook removal

Thames towpaths (and canals, if you fish them), the ultimate nightmare (happened to me twice):

Baiting up; dog (traditionally) or jogger, or cyclist, goes past in blur.

So quick, so horrible the slowmo inevitablity of the line rip.

Ouch.

In the case of the cyclist, they usually add cost to injury by taking out your rod, or brand new shiny pole as well

Cheers, Dave.

and a girl standing behind me, why do people do that, i hooked her jumper, it could of been worse....lol

not really, she was only about 12.
but her mum thought it was funny, i didn't!

Brings back some painfull memories, the worst, a size 8 double, buried to the shank, both points in the ball of my right thumb. Being very right handed, made the extraction tricky, the loop of line round the hook, held in my teeth, firm pressure with my left hand, but had to be a rather slow pull, ouch, but got there in the end. It was a rather expensive days salmon fishing, and being early in the day, I wasn,t about to go to A&E!
