I’m running low on my supply of super specialist barbel hooks. Before I buy another load is there anything else out there you’re using that you’d recommend? I mainly fish boilie or pellets.

I think you mean Specimen Plus Darren,they do look like a good hook,quite an unusual bend but Drennan do say they are mechanically strong.Take a look at the Drennan Specialist Plus hooks Ben. Can’t recommend them highly enough - hook point very rarely turns and a nice matt finish. Used them for a few years now and no complaints.

Interesting, this hook appears regularly on the "best hook"threads.Gardner Target Specimen Barbless. Available in a full range of sizes (I use 10's and 12's)

Should have said these hooks are sizes 10 - 16 only.
