Alans picture looks poor on the front page. Ive seen the original via a friend and it looks every ounce. Plus it's a very well known fish that is often caught at 17plus.
 
I didn't question it at all. I think it looks like a whopper. He's just not holding it at arms length!

Again, congratulations on a cracking summer fish!
The ' doesn't look the weight' does get on my goat, not just barbel. Especially as the comments are often made by those who've never caught or witnessed fish of the size,so how can they pass any sensible comments and opinions?!

Let's not jump to conclusions, we don't know if Graham is questioning the weight of the fish.
