That's a proper kipper! Well done again Mark, it's great to know there are fish of that calibre in the Severn.

Cheers
Mark

it's a stunning fish.....Mark's first season on the lower too I believe, with a few other good doubles to back that one up, great achievement.

Well done Mark, fish of a lifetime, makes you wonder just how big your next fish will be on the Severn.
Regards,
G.T.

Many congratulations from me too. It really is one of the best looking barbel I've seen!

Thanks all for the kind words.JC alluded to the fact that it's my first season on the lower for barbel, and it's true,so I'm fully aware what a jammy little sod I've been.I've always seemed to have an affinity with barbel, perhaps they're my 'lucky fish'.For instance with other species that I've devoted equal time to I think I've been rather unlucky,so perhaps that's the way it goes...luck wise.

Hmmmm......
I guess you were lucky with some big Warwickshire Avon fish too Mark.....
Once could be lucky......
Twice......????
Nah :)
