Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself to you all.
Was an avid Severn Barbel nut but now moved up to the north east.
My local is now the Tees and Wear.
Any info would be great also anybody fancy introducing me to some water.

ps was on here years ago as Riverrover i think :)
 
Welcome Glynn,
you've picked a couple of tough rivers for barbel fishing, the Wear boys have taken a monastic vow of silence so you won't get much off them. There is some good fishing to be had on the Tees but it is a tough nut and the fish are very nomadic. I sent you a PM which may help. Not fished the Wear much but Durham AC has some good waters with a decent head of barbel, as for the Tees I'm in Stockton AC which gives me more river than I could ever hope to fish.
