Currently having a new handle fitted to my Interceptor I was selling but now will be keeping. It'll split opinions as its olive duplon. Mines on the right.

Hi Joe, think I’ve just seen this on eBay and messaged you there about it! Can you tell me how much it weighs? Been on the lookout for something of this ilk and this may well fit the bill!

I’d be using it to trot for barbel with a centrepin, so weight is a big deal for me. Too heavy and it won’t work for me.

The rod weighs 205g.

I'd say if weight your primary consideration then this wouldn't be the rod for you. Have a look at the Acolytes. 👍

Thanks Joe, I’ve got a Maver Reactorlite Match 2 which is heavier than an Acolyte but lighter than your Interceptor. I’ll stick with that for the time being 👍🏻

The Interceptor is a different beast to the Reactorlite Match 2. It's designed for bigger fish such as big tench and barbel, whereas the Maver is designed for match fishing. Chalk and cheese.

Hmm, it’s got an 8lb line rating and is capable of deadlifting 2kg off the deck- it’s not a small fish rod Joe 🙂
