Harrison 4 peice Avon

I only have a later version pmxs 119av, it is my allrounder rod, not that sensitive but works for all sort of things. I believe the earlier one is pms, which I heard is softer than pmxs.
 
11' Chimera Avon rated at 1.25 is a lovely rod. Built some.

Always thought that 1lb 4oz was the same as 1.25lb. The 11' 2 piece Avon used to be quoted as 1lb 6oz.

That might be my confusion bob. I’ve seen it stated as 1.4oz 1.25oz and 1lb 4oz.
Yeah all the same rod and very “classic” Avon
 
I kept it even more “classic” and had it built with sliding bands.
It can then have a reel balanced up anywhere on the handle if like me you hold it for long periods of time
 
My chimera Avon in action, I really like the sliding band, offers more flexibility and feels better when you hold the rod.

Always wondering, how the chimera Avon compares to classic one. Bob told me they are very similar, but some one told me chimera is softer.
