Yes fishing spares are excellent both on line and on phone. Size at insert is the crux. I bought 2.2 there last year. If u get stuck my pal has a tackleshop and loads of spare tips just let me know diameter and I will have a search thro the bundleCould you measure the tip and look on here, Matt ?? Lots of tips, fit different rods.
Drennan and Daiwa interchange for example. Edit: Mostly.

Wet and dry I believe is best. I have made tips thicker by using nail varnish and then smoothing down , when I have needed to add a little width. Works fine. There are some on that site that are 3.4mm. Might be worth having a look, and maybe buying one of those and rubbing it down a little with some emery cloth.
Yes that sounds a great method. I used nail varnish but your method appeals. I will try it shortly. Thanks for suggestion.I use good quality super glue - must be thin - 2 or three thin Coates # WHEN DRY # then use - tulip paper 2200 grade - wet n dry with water
check fit and repeat as required does a fantastic job
I have used this method for years with no issues
