Great Ouse clubs

Hi guys, dont know if i should have put this in the rivers section, but here goes...
I am a member of vauxhall and verulam ac. Can anyone name any other clubs with barbely sections of the upper ouse that might be worth looking at this season? Anyone had a look at Adams mill lately? Dont need swims etc, just club ideas.
Thanks so much
Rich

Richard Northampton and nene ac have turvey and newton Blossomville,
think Newport Pagnell also have a local bit,and shefford have Pavenham and Paxton.

Thanks Howard, ah yes Turvey! Anyone here fish there? Dont know newton. I remember fishing a stretch of Pavenham as a boy, think it was ampthill ac, but never thought of it as a classic barbel stretch. I know the stretches i fish are probably enough and maybe nowhere else will produce more fish but its good to have a change of scenery. I'd heard the mkaa waters had really gone down hill of late.

Thanks Stephen. Choices, choices!! Will keep the verulam ticket and prob vauxhall. Considering nnac and newport pagnell.

Well Chris, i gave up on the Ouse about a year and a half ago because it started to feel that way. You make a good point. Its been hard for a while but there are a fair few fish left, As i say, different locations would be good. Im also very happy catching big chub and perch. May i ask which club(s) you are a member of?

Big perch are still a good bet, but many of the chub have gone the barbel's way.

One club not mentioned and has a really good varied long stretch of the river>>>> Home The least expensive also.

Richard, Bedford Angling club has a few nice stretches. Only £37.00 for the year, too.

Blunham, Ampthill, Shefford, etc. all have stretches.
