Well gentlemen 9 days to go, I thought I would wish one and all the very best for the upcoming season.

Tight line's

And the same to you Jeff. It's about now that I start thinking about making the rods up because that means I need to think about where I will fish and that makes me think about the swim, the surroundings and then possibly, hopefully, the first barbel of the season. It's either that, or I go and wash my hair.

Same to you Jeff
Thought I had my ''banker'' sorted for the off this year, untill a good mate who'se a bailiff on that particular stretch informed me that he saw a guy running a depth finder through it last Sunday morning!...could be trouble ahead:D
Considering plan B at present:rolleyes:

Good luck to all who venture out. Opening days in recent years have been a bit of an anticlimax but I'm always hoping that this year is the year.

Undecided as yet Neil, too many options! I've given up on the Avon. I may travel upto the Severn or even the teme.

I suppose it all depends on what the levels will be, I am wondering if this bit of extra water might replicate what we had in 2012 on the Lwr Severn? It was prolific, almost  but as far as the Teme goes it has been carp the last few seasons, and the WA is hit and miss, the Arrow if there is some colour, but I suppose I could cheat and hop over to the Wye?

Anyway I have got 9 months and a whole load of excuses to find :)

Thank you for your good wishes. It is a most exciting time; I have chosen a reach and everything is prepared. I know that my hands will be shaking as I thread the line through the rings and that first cast will probably not be as I would have hoped!

Regards,

Hugo
