Giving it another go...

Hi all,
Some of you may remember me from years ago (barbusg60) but I imagine there's lots of new faces on here that wont know me.
I havent barbel fished for years but am hopefully joining a little local club that controls a stretch I enjoyed fishing in the old days.
I havent got any of my old kit left so am looking for advice on a new, single rod, roving style set up for a small'ish type river.
Just wondering what the go-to tackle is nowadays?

Thanks Bob, we did. Not on the bank though. I popped over and bought a rod and a couple of reels a few years back during a failed comeback attempt lol
