Gimmicks that aren't

Aha....another carp nut :D Quite right David, they work beautifully. When I first saw these I marvelled at the size and foolishly argued long and hard with the inventor about the advisability of attempting to launch one full of bait with a light spod rod. Long and short...I was wrong, he was right. They cast like a dream :p

Cheers, Dave.

Certainly not a carp nut. I like a few sessions for mud pigs but then get drawn back to real fish!;) I used a spomb for tenching mostly - and once the small one is available spods will be heading the way of the dinosaurs.

Well after all the glowing reports on here, I was thinking of getting a spomb, but not now I see you need a new rod to go with it!!

C'mon Rhys....look at the graphics  you won't get all your rods muddled up if they are labelled like that, and just think of all the admiring glances you will get....you KNOW you want one :D

If not, just use any rod you fancy on the day :p

Cheers, Dave.

So....you prefer the little green mud pigs then? Now THAT is colour prejudice mate :p

Cheers, Dave.

I want one Dave, but just can't afford it at the moment, and there's no way I want to be seen on the bank using a spomb with a spod rod! How embarrassing would that be!!??

That would be a major faux pas!
Wonder if Daiwa are developing a Spomb version of the Emblem Spod reel to go with it? :p

I use the spomb all last year for chucking out dead maggots and its is first class . I wanted a back up just in case and found out they did a limit pink one but sold out . Rhys you do need a spod rod and reel I got our Jez to help me out on that

I guarantee that within months there will be spools of Sensor re-labelled as 'Specialist Hi-tech Spomb line'. I expect Dean can even get them to do it in pink by re-hashing the old cobblers about red line being invisible in water :p

Cheers, Dave.

No - I prefer BIG green tench!:D

Ah but, yea but, no but......you must admit that tench are, if anything, even more in to grubbing in mud than carp are....so surely that derogatory label is even more appropriate when applied to them :p....I mean, mud sticks and all that :D

Cheers, Dave.

No mate, you need a 'spomb' rod! I've got a spod rod, but this simply won't do, I take great pride in my appearance on the bank and won't be seen without the right gear.
Give it a few weeks and I'm sure Jez's fishing emporium will have one up for sale;)
