Ghost Carp

I have been trying to catch some of the ghost carp that live in a large mill pond. They're easy to locate in amongst the other commons and mirrors, and its been difficult with the temperature being all over the show, but, as yet, they are proving infuriating. I've had commons/mirrors shallow, dead depth, etc... but the ghosties just take absolutely no notice of the bait. They seem to behave differently to the other carp. Anyone else experienced similar situation? Any tips one might like to pass on? :)

Update on this...

After chasing it for a few months I eventually managed to catch one of the Ghosties I was asking advice about. I later found out that these fish are over 20 years old... crafty is an understatement. It weighed 9lb 10oz if anyone is interested. Took it on good old Waggler fished bread in the end. Apologies for not using a mat as it was lay in my garden shed but the grass was soft.

Mental fish Vincent! Caught a few myself up to mid doubles and they always fight harder than normal mirrors or commons for whatever reason.

i had a carp that was around 15lb and was white, all white, is that classed as a ghosty or a albino.
nice fish that above.

I think that would be classed as an Albino David. Funny how fish stocks turn up 'oddities' every now and again. They do fight like tigers though. Hopefully be back on the river soon though!
